Notes on Using Adobe Photoshop CS4 in a Multi-Monitor Environment

Applicable Monitors: ColorEdge CG301W, CG242W, CG241W, CG232W, CG222W, CG221, CG211, CG210, CG21, CG19, CG18, CE240W, CG210W

1. Description

When using Adobe Photoshop CS4 in a multi-monitor environment, color in an image may look abnormal. This problem occurs when the new CS4 function "OpenGL Drawing" is enabled and in this case color management is only correct on the primary monitor.

This problem does not occur unless the graphics board supports OpenGL.

2. Temporary measure

Under [Preferences] in the [Photoshop] menu of Photoshop CS4, please choose [Performance], deselect the [OpenGL Drawing] check mark in "GPU Setting", and reboot Photoshop.

Preferences Dialog Box [Enable OpenGL Drawing] is selected by default.

Please note however, if OpenGL Drawing is deselected, it will not be possible to use the functions (animation zoom and canvas rotation etc.) enhanced by the GPU.

When using the OpenGL Drawing function, please set [Preferences] as above and set a monitor for checking colors as the primary monitor and then reselect [OpenGL Drawing].
